Front shot with the section taken vertically along the line of the crankshaft and camshafts. It can be seen that there is a distinct strengthening web between the floor of the cam wells and the upper housing for the main bearings. Between bores 3 & 4 there are 4 rectangular cavities that direct coolant from the water pump, across the block and off to the front and rear of the engine. |
